Yoga has long been one of the most traditional and effective fitness regimes known to us. The new generation might have the inclination towards pumping heavy iron in gyms as it's more published.

But the true fitness buffs will tell you that to achieve your fitness levels without any kind of side effects; yoga is the best option out there.

9 Tips to Achieve the Maximum From Yoga

But there are certain rules in yoga. If you want it to be effective, you have to follow it by heart. These prerequisites are:

• Find a time that's convenient for you: Some people think that exercises are only effective in the morning. Yes, it's partially true; exercising just after getting up from sleep is great but if you can't do it, then find another time that is more convenient to you.

• Find a place that's comfortable: Yoga exercises just can't be done anyplace you like. Total concentration is a must in traditional exercises. You don't necessarily need a huge space. If you have a room big enough to roll out your mat, that will be enough. Also, make sure that the place that you are selecting is quiet and no one comes there unannounced.

• Don't eat much: You can never achieve your desired yoga postures with a loaded stomach. Whenever you are doing exercise, try to do it on an empty stomach.

• Wear comfort clothing: Make sure that whatever you are wearing during exercising is comfortable. Avoid tight or body hugging dresses and go for loose clothing so that you don't have any problems breathing in it.

• Warm up: This is one of the most vital aspects. Prior to doing some intense physical workout, always warm up yourself or else you can strain your muscles.

• Don't overdo: You know your body so go easy on it. Every person has their limit. You should never overdo to the point where your body can't take it anymore.

• Maintain the routine: You can never achieve anything if you do not regularly exercise. Maintain a routine so that you can practice yoga every day without any negligence.

• Don't stick to one technique: In yoga, it is important to practice new things every now and then. Don't just practice the same thing again and again.

• Make it fun: Don't think yoga as a boring exercise. Make it more interactive by asking your friends and family.

Don't expect fireworks at your first yoga session. Give it time and dedicate yourself to it. You will see that it is reaping rewards in the long run.

10 Nutrition Rich Juice Recipes For Weight Loss and Detox

It doesn't matter if you have a flat stomach or a protruding belly; all of us have belly fat. There is subcutaneous fat, which lies just beneath your skin, and fat that's found far deeper, this is called visceral fat. It is the visceral fat rather than the subcutaneous fat that creates the issues with people, both large and slim. A little visceral fat is needed to cushion your organs. However, if that gets way beyond a little then the person is at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and dementia.

Lose Belly Fat and Get a Flat Stomach

Also, the risk of certain cancers increases with the amount of visceral fats in the organs. The more weight you gain, obviously the more fat you'll have. And fat, when it gets to excess, will tend to move around and attach itself to Organs such as the heart and the liver.

To find out the amount of belly fat you have, get a tape and start at your belly button and wrap it right the way round. A healthy ratio waistline for a female is 35 inches or below for a male it is 40 inches or below. It is suggested that it is safer to have a pear shape as a woman rather than an apple. This is because apple shapes tend to have more visceral fat.

1. Ditch the sugar.

Studies have shown that when the liver is filled with fructose and sugar, it is FORCED to turn it to fat. So essentially excess sugar makes your liver a fat churning machine, instead of a fat burning one. Studies show that excess sugar over time will increase belly fat and create a fatty liver, which in turn leads to metabolic issues and insulin resistance. And if you're take in those sugars as a beverage, that's even worse. Those fizzy drinks and sweet alcoholic shots will not be registered by the brain in the same way as solid food, so naturally you'll have more. More sweetened beverages more belly fat.

2. Get That Protein.

One of the most powerful nutrients when it comes to losing weight is protein. It can cut your appetite by 60% and hike up your metabolism so you can burn more calories. If you truly want to lose weight, then the most effective ways to make that happen is to add protein to your diet. A study in Denmark found that protein, in particular animal protein, was connected to a reduction of belly fat expansion over 5 years. So try to eat more organic eggs, seafood, meats and dairy products, as they tend to be the premium sources of protein.

However, if you're finding it difficult taking in more protein a great and simple alternative would be whey Protein.

3. Use Coconut oil.

It has been found in studies that cooking with coconut oil reduces belly fat. This is a bit of a turn around because for decades coconut oil has gotten a bad rep, mainly due to its saturated fat. But unlike the long-chain triglycerides (LCTs) - found in foods like cheeses and meats, the medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) found in coconut oil is easily digested. What does this mean for belly fat? Well, MCT is absorbed quickly by the intestines so instead of being stored by the fat cells they will actually bypass them. This mean it's more likely to be burned as energy instead of stored as another jiggly bit.

4. Best Exercises to Lose Belly Fat and Lose Body Fat.

It has been found that high intensity exercises such as aerobics actually helped people lose nearly 3 percent of their belly fat in comparison to cycling on an exercise bike. So it seems that the right type of exercise do have a large influence your stomach line. And when it comes to getting rid of the pouch, high intensity exercises tend to be best exercises to lose belly fat.

Heat Up That Belly Fat.

If you want to blitz the fat then call in Piperine. It a potent compound found in pepper. It's great for soothing inflammation and any stomach problems. It has been found that due to piperines ability to fight inflammation it holds back the start of new fat cells, a process named adipogenesis which is directly related to the slimming down the of the waist line. So, go ahead, shake that pepper!

5 Ways to Lose Belly Fat and Get a Flat Stomach

I'm guessing if you are reading this article, it's unfortunately because you are experiencing issues with acne.

Unfortunately, acne is a problem for many people throughout all stages of life. As a result, there are thousands of products out there used to treat acne, everything from creams to topical gels, face masks to face washes, pore strips and blackhead removers. It's overwhelming for anyone to visit a drug store to be faced with a massive wall filled with acne treatment products. These treatments also vary widely in price, but some can cost you hundreds of dollars. And there is no guarantee of results.

Aromatherapy and Essential Oils for Acne

Have you ever thought of using essential oils for acne treatment?

Essential oils are a natural treatment for acne and acne scars, allowing you to avoid the harsh chemicals that are included in some commercial face washes, masks and creams. These oils contain powerful plant extracts that may be used to fight a number of health conditions. In this case, we'll focus on oils that fight acne.

However, make sure to check out the rest of my site to find out about essential oils that combat other frustrating and painful conditions.

Before using any of the oils - Please note that non-diluted essential oils may irritate the skin. Be sure to check the labeling on your product before using. You can dilute essential oils further in coconut oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera gel or even water. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to a patch test first (I recommend on the inner arm) just to ensure the oil won't irritate your skin.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is widely considered the most successful essential oil for fighting acne. It is taken from the leaves of the tea tree, or Melaleuca alternifolia, native to Australia. It was traditionally used by the indigenous Bundajalung people of Australia to treat a variety of conditions, including sore throats, coughs, colds and a variety of skin ailments, including wounds. It was likely successful in treating these conditions because of its antibacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. It can not only kill acne-causing bacteria, but can restrict its growth as well. It may also help reduce the skin's oil production, which may help to reduce future breakouts.

Geranium Oil

Derived from the geranium plant, this is a great oil for oily, acne-prone skin. It is also anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, so its kills and fights growth of acne-causing bacteria.

As an added bonus, it also has anti-aging properties. It is an astringent and is amazing for toning, tightening and regenerating skin. It has additional properties that allow the oil to assist in healing scars as well.

Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil is an often overlooked herb that also does wonders for revitalizing skin, besides adding flavour in the kitchen! It's well known for its abilities to reduce excess oil on skin. In addition, it also contains anti-inflammatory properties known to ease redness and puffiness, which is perfect for treating breakouts.

Besides helping to clear skin, rosemary also improves circulation, which can help firm and tone. It's a versatile oil that makes a great addition to your beauty routine.

Frankincense Oil

Frankincense oil is another oil great for acne-prone skin. This oil acts in an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory way. It is known as a healing and restorative oil, in addition to battling pimples effectively.
It also acts as a natural toner and tightens the skin, reducing wrinkles and scars, so it may be able to do double-duty as an acne fighter and anti ager!

Oregano Oil

Not just amazing in the kitchen, oregano in its essential oil form is also amazing for getting rid of pimples. The natural antiseptic and antibacterial properties of oregano oil make it handy for spot treating zits. As with the other oils, oil of oregano has amazing anti-bacterial properties. It also has many other uses, notably being used to prevent colds.

Ylang Ylang Oil

Essential Oils for Acne

Ylang-Ylang essential oil comes from the flowers of a tropical tree (Cananga odorata) native to South-East Asia. Ylang ylang is also very popular for it's lovely floral scent, but is also used in a variety of applications, particularly aromatherapy and perfumery.

In traditional herbal medicine, ylang-ylang oil was used extensively in topical treatments for skin and hair problems. The oil was also to have calming and anti-pyretic (anti-fever) properties. Ylang-ylang oil also has a positive effect on skin tone and can improve oily skin.

Essential Oils for Acne Treatment

Spot Treatment

Best used with: Tea Tree oil or Oregano Oil

How to do it:

Tea Tree Oil: You can place your tea tree oil on acne undiluted (once again, I always recommend a skin test first) or mix a few drops of tea tree oil with aloe vera gel. Apply to the affected area 1-2 times per day. If your skin tends to be dry, I would recommend diluting the oil as tea tree oil can dry out your skin quickly.

Oregano Oil: It's best to dilute oregano oil before putting it on your face. Mix together equal parts oregano oil and a carrier oil, like jojoba, olive or coconut oil. Then, dab the diluted mixture onto the trouble spot regularly until your skin clears up.

Create Your Own Facial Oil (Moisturizing!)

Best used with: Any of the above oils.

How to do it:

Pick out your favorite carrier oil (this could be coconut oil, jojoba oil, argan oil or even olive oil - though I'd recommend coconut!). Then choose your preferred essential oil and add around 4-7 drops. Do this slowly, mixing or shaking the container your oil is in. The scent should be detectable, but not overpowering. Then, you're done!

Until next time, keep well!

7 Common Acne Symptoms And How To Handle It

Homemade Acne Treatment
If you have acne you are probably embarrassed and upset. Acne is a breakout of pimples or blackheads or other blemishes that appear on the face or other parts of the body. You want acne treatment that works so you can get rid of it fast. But first you have to understand what can cause acne.

What causes acne?

Acne is caused by an overproduction of oil and dead skin cells that get inside your skin's follicles. It plugs the follicles up and so it swells up and causes the bump or blemish. It can also be caused by bacteria or pus filled lesions.

Together, they form a kind of biological traffic jam that plugs the opening of the pore and causes the follicle beneath to swell. Doctors today believe that a key thing that causes acne is inflammation, so if you want an acne treatment that works, you need something that treats inflammation of the skin.

Another thing to know is that everyone's skin is different and so what will act as an acne treatment that works for one person, may not work for another. You may have to try more than one acne product to get the results of clear skin like you want.

Types of Acne Treatment

There are several kinds of acne treatment to try to find acne treatment that works. Here are some suggestions:

Over the counter acne treatments

The over the counter kinds usually fit into two categories, pore cleaners or products that stop the overproduction of oil or hormones that can cause acne breakouts to happen.

These products can be purchased over the counter and usually have either benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid in them. Sometimes it is best to try two or three different brands of these types of products and switch off every month or so using them. That's because the body can become resistant to a particular product and this outsmarts it and keeps that from happening as you search for an acne product that works best for your situation.

Here is a little more in depth about the ingredients in some over the counter acne medications:

Benzyl peroxide -- Benzyl peroxide comes in varying strengths from 2.5 to 10 percent, but be careful if you have sensitive skin because it can cause dry skin, redness, burning and scaling in some people.

Salicylic acid. This slows down dead skin cell shedding so the hair follicles don't clog up as much, it comes in strengths of.5 to two percent and can cause stinging and irritation in some people.

Alpha hydroxyl acids. Glycolic acid and lactic acid are both alpha hydroxy acids that used in some over the counter acne products. They are acne treatment that works by getting rid of dead skin cells reducing inflammation, as well as stimulating new skin growth to promote smooth skin.

Sulfur-This gets rid of dead skin cells to prevent pore clogging and it gets rid of oil. It may cause dry skin in some people, and it has a strong odor.

Electronic products

Another possibility is the Zeno, which is an electronic gadget that zaps the pimpled, and uses heat to kill bacteria that can cause pimples. It is FDA approved and is an acne treatment that works for many people. Talk to your doctor about it. It is said to work in about 70 percent of the time, but usually works best if the acne problem is only mild and not widespread.

Doctor prescribed treatments

If you have severe acne, you may need a prescription from your doctor. Sometimes an antibiotic is needed to get rid of the bacteria causing the acne and this can be an acne treatment that works for you. They are often used along with a topical over the counter product and a good face cleaning routine.

Several of the antibiotics prescribed for acne include products like Solodyn, which is extended release, as well as minocycline, and Oracea, which has doxycycline in it. If a woman in her middle age has acne, doctors may prescribe an off label treatment of Aldactone, which is an anti-androgen medication that dries up the skin, and it works best on acne forming on the chin and jawline.

Some women also find that birth control pills are an acne treatment that works for them if their acne is caused by hormonal issues. A bonus is that it can also control mood swings and make a woman's period more regular and less painful.

A medication that is an acne treatment that works by suppressing oil production is called Accutane or in its generic form it is called isotretinoin. You need a doctor's prescription for it.

Laser Treatments

Another relatively new acne treatment that works for some people is laser treatments. These are expensive, but may help some acne sufferers. One kind of laser treatment works to inhibit the bacteria that sometimes causes acne.

Another laser like treatment for acne is photodynamic therapy. This is sometimes combined with topical treatment called Levulan, for two kinds of action to get rid of acne issues.

All in all finding an acne treatment that works for you can be frustrating, but there is bound to be one of the above treatments that will do the job. Start with the cheapest or if your situation is really bad, see a dermatologist or family doctor for advice. Above all, wash your face daily with non-medicated soaps, don't pick or squeeze the pimples or acne breakouts, and keep your hair and hands off your face.

Use all acne treatments only as prescribed and if you aren't seeing any results in a couple of months, it is definitely time to see your doctor to get something that is acne treatment that works for your situation. No one likes acne breakouts, but there is hope for getting rid of and preventing the problem attacking your skin.

Try one of these acne treatment that work today and soon you could be having clearer and brighter skin.

Homemade Acne Treatment That Works Fast

Tips On How To Buy Makeup Brushes
It's the dream of every woman to look beautiful. Unfortunately, many women don't know how to buy the right makeup brushes. Here is a guide on how to buy the necessary makeup brushes:

Foundation brush

You should use it to apply base all over the face. You can also use it to apply creamy products such as moisturizer and highlighter.

It's a small brush that comes with a flat head of synthetic hairs. It's usually smaller than the foundation brush. You should use it in applying creamy products to small, concentrated areas of the face. When making the purchase you should buy one that easily fits the grooves under your eyes. This is to enable you to easily camouflage the dark circles under the eyes.

Fluffy brush

There are two types of fluffy brushes that you can go for: large and small. A large fluffy brush is ideal in setting your makeup with powder. It's also ideal for brushing away product fallout on your face. A small brush on the other hand is ideal for dusting powder on the apples of your cheek. You can also use it to brush over your eye for makeup to set.

Eye brush

There are many eye brushes that you can go for. One of the most common is the small, angled brush that comes with synthetic hairs that you can use in lining your eyes with powder or liquid formulations. You can also use it in shaping your eyebrows.

There is also the eyeshadow brush that has a flat head of natural hair. It's ideal for stippling color over the eyelid. You can also go for a fluffy-haired eyeshadow brush that comes with a round head. It's ideal for blending away the hard edges on the eyeshadow like when you need to soften the crease color.
As you can see, you have many options to go with. All you need to do is to choose the one that is right for you.

Lib brush

It helps you to apply lipstick. For even color distribution you should buy a lib brush with a flat head instead of a pointy one. If you like following the outline of your lips with the lipstick, you should use a pointy-headed lip brush.

Tips On How To Buy Makeup Brushes

Stress anxiety symptoms can include everything from simple headaches and nervousness to migraines, hives, and even panic attacks.

It's not a fun way to live.

Natural Remedies for Anxiety and stress

On top of all that, continuing to live with those stress anxiety symptoms for long periods of time can wreak havoc on your body. Research has shown that living with stress for long periods of time can cause hypertension, heart attacks, kidney failure, arthritis, allergies, and even eczema.

It is time to take back control away from stress and anxiety.

The more you take charge to reduce and eventually eliminate anxiety, the more you will begin to regain your confidence and your power to restore yourself naturally.

Of the remedies listed below, the first two begin with the power of the mind because that is the center of thinking that produced those feelings of stress in the first place.

These are 7 natural remedies that can help without all the side effects of prescription drugs.

Deep Breathing

This comes first on the list because it's an easy and natural way of calming stressed out nerves and it can be done in as little as a minute.

Deep breathing, even for just a minute or two, has calmed the nerves of many people from speakers who are about to go out on stage to Moms and Dads who are trying to keep calm when dealing with the kids.
The method is to simply move your focus from whatever it is that is causing anxiety to focus directly on your breathing.

This is how you do it: Breathe in deeply until your lungs fill and your tummy pushes out, hold for a second and then breathe out slowly through your nose. This puts oxygen back into your cells which helps to fight anxiety.

You'll also find that when you shift your focus away from how you feel to doing a simple thing like breathing your body begins to naturally relax.

This is next on the list because it is also simple to do, though it takes a few more minutes.
The problem with stress and anxiety is that is produces the fight or flight response that built deep down in our subconscious. When we feel fear we want to run and our body gears up for it.

Meditation forces you to slow your system down.

Meditation begins breathing but also gives you space and time to just to be you without interference. Many people feel that this is when their spirit has the freedom to rise above all worry and give perspective as though they are looking down from the outside.

Begin by focusing on your breath just as described in the deep breathing exercise above.

As you breathe eventually you may find your mind wandering. This is the time to become the observer. You don't have to take action, you don't have to do anything... just observe.

If you begin to feel anxiety at all immediately return to your breathing.

Dr. Wayne Dyer suggests that humming or chanting simple sounds like "Ommmm" of "Ahhhh' can keep your mind focused. If this makes it easier for you, do it.

Another method is to imagine your body as visualize a rainbow that is slowly washing over you. Start with your head and let the colors slowly move down the body, stopping to check in at each point of color such as the top of your head, throat, heart, tummy, abdomen, and so forth.

As you check in at each point observe how you feel when your focus lands on that point.

This is good mental relaxation and by taking time for you, you will be taking back control.

Do this for 15 to 30 minutes at a time. You'll find that sometimes your mind wanders but you can always bring it back by refocusing on the breathing.

Lemon Balm

This natural ingredient has been used for centuries as both a stress relaxer and an aid for sleep.
Lemon Balm, which is also known as Melissa officinalis, was named after the honey bee and is known for its properties that relax and sooth the nerves.

When combined with Valerian, it can work better than most prescription sleeping pills.

Studies have shown that when participants were either given 600 mg of lemon balm or a placebo, those who received lemon balm were far more calm and alert than the placebo group.

Please note, however, that lemon balm can also agitate your nerves if taken in large doses so remember to start slow.

Start with the smallest dose which can be sold in capsules or tinctures. You can also find it in tea and it is often combined with other herbs like chamomile.

Chamomile Tea with Honey

Chamomile has special properties that work to calm you down as it binds to the same brain receptors as chemical drugs, without the side effects.

You can get it in a supplement form but it's certainly not as delicious as enjoying a cup of chamomile tea with a teaspoon or two of honey.

Honey acts to boost immunities which may have been compromised during long periods of stress.
Simply steep the chamomile tea for about 1-2 minutes in a cup of hot water, remove the teabag and add the honey.

This remedy is good for you and yummy too. Plus, it's easy to transport a teabag so you can take a few with you for work or other times you feel stressed.

Short Bursts of Exercise

Amazingly for a few people, exercise is not the answer to reducing stress. They are so dedicated to exercising every day, even several times a day, that you would think that they would be the least stressed of all. After all, isn't exercise the antidote for stress?

That's not necessarily true.

Perfectionism and OCD lead to stress. Those who overdo anything are those who are likely to be the most stressed of all.

Consider the phrase "moderation in everything" and you'll understand why those who are moderate in their approach to life are those who are more likely to enjoy life. They don't worry about whether it's too little or too much. They do everything in moderation.

People who are calm and anxiety free are people who don't overdo anything.

That is why you might want to consider short bursts of exercise to be the right way for you to reduce stress and anxiety symptoms.

Scientific studies have been done on exercise that indicate that mixing short bursts of fast paced exercise with slower, more moderate exercise can actually be healthier and do more good for revving up metabolism and clearing the mind at the same time.

Here's some ways to get 30 minutes of exercise in your day that is moderate, calming and, as some say, it hardly feels like work!
  1. 3 Minutes of Fast Paced Exercise First Thing in the Morning. Do this before anything else.
There are 2 reasons to do this. For one, you get your heart pumping. Secondly, you'll start your day energized and you can do 3 minutes of anything! Here's how to do it:Start while laying in the bed by doing 20 sit-ups in a row. Jump up and do 20 jumping jacks. Next, try 20 lunges alternating the leg that you start with every 10 times. Then, do 20 side lunges. Your 3 minutes will be up before you know it and you will start your day feeling more alive.
  1. Take 2 fifteen minute breaks during the work day. Spend just half of that break walking up stairs or walking briskly around the block. The other half can be spent relaxing and breathing! This is just 7.5 minutes of exercise but it can relieve anxiety and stress in more ways than one.

  2. Walk for 15 minutes after work. When you get home, change clothes and take just a 15 minute walk to downshift from your day. No phones allowed! Anybody can do 15 minutes and so can you. While you're at it, alternate every few minutes of regular walking with speed walking for about 30 seconds.

The Germans have got natural remedies down to a science and so we look to them for help in recovery and prevention of anxiety. It has been approved in Germany for nervous anxiety and some studies find that it is just as effective as prescription drugs.

However, this natural remedy may cause you to become drowsy. The time to take it is when you are home and supposed to relax but find it difficult to do.

Do not take it if you have to drive.

And, as with all natural remedies, do not take prescription medications at the same time that are designed to relieve anxiety also.

The best way to use natural remedies of any sort is to tell your doctor if you are taking prescription medication for anxiety.

Simply tell the doctor that you would like to try natural remedies instead of prescription and ask for the best way to change from one to the other. For some prescriptions you can stop immediately. For others, you may need gradual withdrawal so it's best to get medical advice.

Food can be your friend when fighting stress. Blood sugar dips can turn even the calmest person into a raving maniac so fight it with food but not in the same old way.

Many of us turn to 'comfort food' in times of stress. The problem is that much of the comfort food we turn to actually causes stress.

Food with a load of sugar can stimulate you temporarily and make you feel better in the short term.
The problem is that sugar wears off quickly and leaves your body yearning for more.
To calm yourself naturally, get off the sugar and onto a comfort food that won't do your system more damage than good.

The best meals and snacks include at least two types of foods because the chemistry works better for the body. Make one of the foods a complex carbohydrate such as oatmeal, whole wheat crackers, brown rice, or even small baked potato but only with the skin.

There is scientific evidence that potatoes are not bad for you unless you eliminate the skin. The skin provides the nutrients that turn the potato into a wonder worker for eliminating sugar.

You can read more about it in Potatoes Not Prozac by Kathleen DesMaisons, Ph.D.

The other food to go with the complex carbohydrates can be nuts, seeds, salads or other vegetables. In this case, stay off the fruit to keep the sugar down.

The smell of lavender (Lavandula hybrida) does wonders to reduce tension and anxiety.

MedicinePlus which is a service of the National Institute of Health lists lavender as an herb that "is used for restlessness, insomnia, nervousness, and depression. It is also used for a variety of digestive complaints including meteorism (abdominal swelling from gas in the intestinal or peritoneal cavity), loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, intestinal gas (flatulence), and upset stomach."

And if that isn't enough, they added "Some people use lavender for painful conditions including migraine headaches, toothaches, sprains, nerve pain, sores, and joint pain. It is also used for acne and cancer, and to promote menstruation."

Wow! That is a lot of benefit for an herb that smells so good.

In one study done in Germany a lavender pill that was specifically formulated for the study showed that it significantly reduced anxiety symptoms in people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

Try inhaling lavender essence, using lavender soaps and lotions or even linen sprays.

Why You Should Try Natural Remedies

The point of trying natural remedies is to help you reduce or even eliminate anxiety without having to worry about the nasty side effects that may come with prescription medicines.

Many prescriptions of what were considered "safe" drugs have been pulled off the market.

Many more that are on the market are those that also affect liver, heart, kidneys and can reduce health over the long term. Yet, sometimes they are necessary.

For example, if you are severely depressed don't wait, RUN to the doctor who can help you at least temporarily alleviate the pain.

On the other side, anxiety is becoming a way of life for many people who wake up every day with it and that is when it's time to stamp it out once and for all.

In Europe and Asia, natural remedies are prescribed by healers at least as often as chemically made remedies, if not more.

Use these 7 natural remedies for stress anxiety symptoms on a regular basis and you'll find that you are back to your old self before you know it!

Relax, rejuvenate and learn to live your best life. You are worth it!

Natural Remedies for Anxiety: 7 Natural Remedies to Calm Stress Anxiety Symptoms

Getting married outside, or attending an outdoor wedding? Avoid a makeup meltdown with our tips to make your look last through the photos, cocktail hour, hugging & kissing, eating & drinking, and don't forget the dancing!

Maybe you're getting your makeup done by a pro, or maybe you're more of a DIY kind of girl, but regardless which route you choose, we have some tips that will help you get through your special day without a makeup malfunction.
1. The Importance of Primer:

Whether or not you wear foundation, primer is an important base for anything you put on your face. It will help keep you shine free while preventing caking, creasing, and sweating of your makeup. A couple of our favorites are Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing $16-39; and Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer $20 - this one's great for long-lasting eye shadow!

2. Let Your Face Breathe:

For outdoor weddings, try to avoid thick foundation and moisturizer unless absolutely necessary. Painting your face won't reflect the real you, and it's also more likely to leave you smudged, oily and uneven.

Sometimes a thin veil of lightweight mattifying powder foundation is all you need. With a kabuki brush, apply this power player by Make Up For Ever for a flawless finish: Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation, $36. And ladies, please, stick to shades that match your skin tone. Lay off the two-shades-too-dark foundation and orange-y bronzer so that your neck isn't a distinctly different color than your face.

3. Go Easy on the Blush:

If it's warm outside, your cheeks will tend to be naturally rosy, especially if you're a bundle of nerves. A single sweep of powder blush or a tiny dab of cheek stain may be an option but, again, a little goes a long way in natural light! If you're a powder blush girl, try Urban Decay's Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush, $26. If you like the dewy, highlighting look of a blush stick, we love The Multiple by Nars, $39. And for a one-and-done, truly low maintenance experience, try (sparingly) Benefit's cheek stain, Benetint, $30.

4. Shield Your Face from the Sun:

Decorative paper fans or small parasols are a creative way to block the rays, and they look cuter in photos than sunglasses (which also mess up your makeup). This could be one of your gifts to your bridesmaids! Go the extra mile by applying a non-oily SPF under your foundation or find a lightweight BB cream which includes SPF (like Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm with SPF 45, $39). No one wants to look like a tomato in the pictures.

5. Blotting Papers:

Oil blotting sheets are a necessity to have on hand, and they're compact enough to fit in your clutch. If the sun is starting to heat things up, be sure to check your compact before taking pictures and, if you're looking extra shiny, grab an oil blotting sheet and tap it onto your trouble spots. You'd be amazed what a quick fix this is (and sooo much better than caking on extra powder). There are many varieties of blotting papers - you can get them anywhere from Sephora to CVS (Clean & Clear brand) and they range from $5 to $10.

6. Hairspray Works Wonders for Setting:

You might not expect to see hairspray on a makeup tips list, but you'd be surprised what it can do, from removing stains to setting your makeup! Check out item #11 on the StyleCaster beauty blog post, "20 Makeup Hacks That Will Make Your Life Easier."

7. Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner or Cake Liner:

Liquid eyeliner used to intimidate me, partly because I had a shaky hand and partly because it looks so bold and I was afraid to mess up (I still haven't mastered the elusive cat eye). I always favored pencil liner until I realized how much more time it takes and how much harder it is on the delicate skin of your eyelids. Then a friend introduced me to cake liner. It's dry until you dampen a small brush and swirl it into the cake liner, then it instantly transforms into something like a wet-dry eye shadow. Easy to apply, longer lasting, and more smudge-proof than pencil liner, cake liner is a great way to go. We love Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Liner, $24.

8. Cry-Proof Mascara:

You might think you won't get all misty-eyed, but don't take a chance - someone could make a touching toast that leaves you bawling! Admit it: it's going to be an emotional day. Our favorite affordable waterproof mascara is CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara (in the orange tube), $6.99 from Target. Or, if you like the look of false lashes without the hassle and weight, try Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara, sold by independent consultants for approximately $30 (and worth every penny)!

9. Smudge-Proof Lips:

Lips are tricky. Through all the talking, sipping, kissing, smiling, and licking your lips (does anyone else do that when they're nervous?), it's downright difficult to find lip color that won't smudge, dry out, flake, feather, smear, or transfer. Whether you like to keep it simple with balm or glam it up with gloss, it can be annoying to keep reapplying throughout the day. Lucky for you, we have some long-lasting favorites. Tints and stains like Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint, $24, followed up with YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain, $36, are a great way to go and come in a variety of colors and finishes, so you don't have to forego the gloss. And don't worry, if you're an au-naturel kind of girl and these products don't tickle your fancy, item #9 on this StyleCaster beauty blog post will leave you with some solid advice, regardless which type of products you prefer.

10. Nails and Toes:

A mani/pedi might not count as 'makeup,' but it needs to last, nonetheless! For afternoon weddings, many women will get their nails and toes done same-day. It's part of that spa-like girly bonding experience and one of the package services that ladies enjoy doing together. The only problem is, if you've chosen a salon you aren't used to and they're overwhelmingly busy, you might not always be able to rely on the quality of your service. I've heard sad stories of toenail polish being applied way too thick to fully dry, and then as soon as the dress shoes are slipped on the polish smudges all over the place. Or a protective top coat isn't applied and a bridesmaid's nail polish chips while helping the bride with her hair pins. Don't let it happen to you! We encourage you to get your mani/pedi at least one day in advance of the wedding. Whether you like the classic look of French manicures and pink & white nails, or you're going for a solid color that will complement the dresses and bouquets, both gel and acrylic nails are excellent options because of their durability and decreased likelihood of smudging, chipping, and cracking. Whatever you choose, it's probably best to avoid busy designs (okay, maybe one accent nail if your dress is pretty simple). And if you really want to DIY, try Sally Hansen miracle gel, available at stores like CVS and Target for under $10.

Your Checklist

1. Carry a small clutch containing the following items for quick touch-ups: (your Maid of Honor can hold onto this when necessary:

Every person wants to know how to get rid of acne but sadly, acne often rears its ugly head and makes everything fizzle out in a flash.

Sounds like what is happening to you most of the time? Well, you are NOT alone.

Getting rid of acne is not just about applying any products on your face. If you really want to get a clear, radiant skin, you should learn a couple of tips from this article and follow some proven ways.

In this article, we are going to look at how to get rid of acne and how you can have the skin you've always dreamt of. You will also get to know what causes acne and of course what to do to avoid it.

Teenagers are mostly the victims of these skin problems and it can lower their self-esteem as well as their confidence - meaning they become socially insecure both psychological and emotionally.

Many teenagers will notice the appearance of acne or pimple early during their youth and once they reach adulthood, they see things getting better.

Before we look at the tips and tricks to get rid of acne, let us first take a look at the common skin conditions caused by acne and what really contributes to acne.

Pimples, blemishes as well as blackheads are some of the common skin conditions caused by acne.
This normally happens when too much oil is released from the skin glands and the oil builds up when a skin pore is blocked.

The most common parts of the body which normally get infected are the face, back, chest and the upper arms.

When the acne strikes, it frustrates many people since they finds it difficult to control it.

What causes Acne?

The factors below are known to contribute to acne:
  • Hormones
  • Genetics
  • Medication
  • Vitamin deficiency
  • Use of heavy or oily cosmetics
  • Over-abrasive cleansing
There are also other factors which can cause existing acne to flare up and create more skin problems. Examples are:
  • Diet
  • Stress
  • Heavy scrubbing of skin
  • Environmental irritants
  • Pressure from helmets or hats, backpacks, tight clothing
However if you need some acne treatment, you will need to find a good skin care regimen to suppress its growth. Home remedies to treat acne are also a good approach which can be made by anybody and without difficulties.

But it is recommended you first consult your doctor or dermatologist if you have a severe form of acne since he will be in the best position to help you get rid of scars.
Given below are how to get rid of acne and get a radiant, flawless natural looking skin in days.

How to Get Rid of Acne

1. Do Not Squeeze Your Pimples

Whenever you squeeze or pop your pimple, it makes the blemishes spread out leading to more facial infections and inflammatory diseases.

2. Drink plenty of clean water

Personally I think this is simple enough. It is a natural and a safe remedy to cure your acne. Drink 7-8 glasses of water each day to cleanse your body of toxins. These toxins actually contribute to the development and spread of acne.

What I know to work and will work for you is to add some lemon or herbal ingredients to the water. For instance boil corn and fenugreek seeds then add to the water. Lemon is known to cleanse and detoxify the body.

3. Fenugreek leaves

Another natural remedy on to get rid of acne is using fenugreek leaves - It prevents breakouts. You crush the leaves and make a paste. Apply it to the infected area of the skin each night before you go to bed then wash it away with warm water the next morning when you wake up.

4. Hot and Cold Compresses

This is the best known natural remedy that is recommended to get rid of acne. You use hot and cold wet towel and apply firmly on the infected area to reduce swelling and get rid of clogged pores.

5. Wash your face regularly

This is one of the best acne treatments and dermatologists advise to wash the face at least twice each day not only if you want to get rid of acne but for effective skin care. Use a natural facial cleanser and a warm water to wash your face. This helps remove pollutants and dirt that have settled on the skin.

Never use soap with strong detergent and do not scrub the skin since it only worsens your skin condition. Studies indicate too much scrubbing will worsen the acne and as well cause a facial blemish.

6. Wash your hair regularly

This is especially important if you have a long hair. Washing your hair on a regular basis is vitally essential if you want to get rid of your acne. Washing your hair removes excess dirt and oil that has settled on the skin.

7. Do not use strong astringents

If you desire to get rid of your acne, make sure you avoid strong astringents since it can cause more skin irritation. It is only advisable if you have oily skin.

8. Using Oil and Juice
  • Almond oil - It helps with getting rid of acne scars.
  • Apricot juice - It helps to relieve cysts.
  • Cucumber juice - Used as a topical application, can be combined with lettuce, carrot juice, or alfalfa.
  • Citric fruit juices - For instance lemon juice, serve as a natural exfoliate, removes dead skin cells. Applied on face for about 10 minutes then rinse it with cool water.
9. Apply Honey Mask on Your Face

It has anti-bacterial qualities that kill bacteria on the skin surface. It is mostly applied once or twice every week depending on the results.

10. Apply Distilled White Vinegar on the Infected Area

Apply it for about 5-10 minutes then rinse it thoroughly with cool water. Vinegar is often known to be a little strong hence it is recommended you dilute it.

11. Diet and vitamin supplements

Eat a healthy diet and take vitamin supplements to prevent some bio-chemical conditions which contribute to the development of acne.

12. Vitamin A

In severe cases of acne, people actually use vitamin A to successfully treat it. But it is recommended to consult a doctor if you want to use vitamin-A as a remedy because when excessively used (used overdose), it can do more harm done good.

13. Zinc

Zinc is known to heal acne lesions when added to a diet. It is also known to help in the prevention of scarring.

So there you have it - how to get rid of acne. Know that we are all different and unique in our own way, some have dry skin and others have oily skin. What could make John have acne might not make Jane have hers. I drink or consume diet high in sugar today and the next morning I wake up with pimple on my forehead. But you wouldn't experience such a situation - your case might be different. So know what causes your pimple or acne and do your best to avoid them. Know what works for you and stick it.

I believe this article has pointed out some useful skin care tips on how to get rid of acne. Got any acne treatment of your own to share? What makes you have such a clearer, glowing skin? Share in the comments.

7 Easy Green Smoothie Recipes for Rapid Weight Loss

High Fiber Foods List
Wanting to learn how to lose weight is one of the most often searched topics online. If you want to lose weight, like many people, you've probably tried more than your fair share of popular diet suggestions.

But there are a lot of suggestions that you should ignore when it comes to wanting to lose weight. One healthy eating tip, however, can lead you to the weight loss that you want to achieve.

If you focus more on getting enough fiber into your daily eating plan, it will help you lose weight. In fact, studies have shown that by concentrating on your fiber intake, you can lose weight just as if you were on a diet.

Do You Get Enough Fiber?

Fiber is essentially roughage. Your body uses the food that you eat through the digestion process. Fiber doesn't go through that process at all. Your body doesn't break it down.

It simply travels through your digestive tract. Fiber is either soluble or insoluble. If it's soluble, that means that if you mix it with water, it will dissolve. Insoluble is not dissolved in water.

You might think that you get plenty of fiber in the foods that you eat, but the truth is that most people fall far short of the recommended intake. How much fiber that you do end up getting is linked with whatever it is that you're eating.

If you're filling up on foods that have little or no fiber, then the odds are high that you're short on fiber. If you're a woman, you need at least 25 grams of fiber every single day. What usually happens, though, is that most women end up eating about half the amount of fiber that they need.

For men, the amount of fiber that they should have is a little higher. A man should have around 38 grams of fiber every day. The amount of fiber that you need - whether you're a man or a woman - does lessen as you get older.

You can usually tell if you're getting enough fiber by the foods that you eat. The healthier that you eat, the greater the chances are that you're getting the fiber that you need.

But if you live on a diet of processed foods, then it's likely that you're short-changing yourself on the fiber count. Not eating healthy enough isn't the only reason that most people don't get the amount of fiber that they should have.

This can also be an issue when dieting. Many popular diet plans don't guide participants to eat enough fiber. And many people who decide that they're going to create their own diet don't realize that they're not getting enough fiber.

Why You Need More Fiber

Not having enough fiber in your diet can lead to some uncomfortable problems with your digestive health. Without enough fiber, you might find yourself battling constipation. Straining to have a bowel movement can lead to the development of painful hemorrhoids or even fissures.

Plus, if you don't get enough fiber in your diet, it can lead to some scary health risks. A lack of fiber is one of the primary links to an increased risk of getting colon cancer. Fiber is a natural way to keep your bowels in good health.

When you eat enough fiber, it works as a stool softener to help keep constipation at bay. It also lowers your risk of developing colon cancer more than just following a diet alone can do.

Without enough fiber, you're affected in other parts of your body besides your digestive tract, too. You won't get the added benefit of an inflammation fighter without fiber. Fiber can reduce inflammation that's known to cause several health problems.

Besides not getting help with inflammation, your cholesterol levels are affected when you don't get all of the fiber that you should have. When your bad cholesterol levels are raised, this can put you at a higher risk of developing heart disease or having a heart attack or stroke.

When you get enough fiber, it's good for your heart - even to the point where it can help you keep your blood pressure lowered. Packing on the pounds can be a result of not getting the amount of fiber that you should have.

People who don't eat enough fiber in their diet tend to end up gaining weight. The reason that this happens is that fiber helps you feel full so you end up eating less than you would if you weren't eating fiber rich foods.

When you eat foods that are rich in fiber, you also end up getting fewer calories - but a lot more food. This can help, because sometimes, when the cravings hit, you just want to eat.

Fiber Is a Natural Appetite Suppressant

One of the hardest things about losing weight is the hunger that automatically kicks in whenever you even think about wanting to shed some pounds. Despite your good intentions, you'll find yourself hit with hunger pangs and cravings from the moment you decide to change your eating lifestyle.

But there's a reason why this struggle hits everyone who decides to lose weight. The hunger pangs and cravings kick in because weight loss can't be controlled with good intentions.

The ability to control it, however, does start in the brain. Your brain can help you lose weight when you eat enough fiber and the reason is that the hypothalamus is influenced by the consumption of fiber.

The hypothalamus is the part of your brain that works to help control whether or not you feel hungry. One study conducted in mice showed that there was a strong link between the amount of fiber eaten and the brain's reaction.

What happens when you eat fiber is that it causes the production of acetate, which affects the way that the brain handles hunger. When the process of acetate occurs, your brain releases hormones that kick in and act as a natural appetite suppressant.

You'll discover that you'll have better control over hunger pangs because you won't be feeling the hunger. And when you don't feel hungry, it's easier to not engage in mindless eating as well as control your portion sizes. You'll be able to walk away when you're not hungry.

Fiber Helps Fight Belly Fat

There's an added bonus for the reason that you want to make sure that you're getting plenty of fiber. The amount of fiber that a person eats can have a direct impact on how much belly fat he or she carries.

This type of fat is known as visceral fat and it's the same kind of fat that can gather around your internal organs and cause some health problems. If you've heard of the term "fatty liver" - that's an example of how visceral fat affects your body.

People who don't eat a diet that contains a healthy amount of fiber will be prone to carrying more belly fat than a person who does eat plenty of fiber. You can lessen the percentage of visceral fat that your body has by raising your fiber intake, even by as little as 10 grams a day.

Fiber is natural weapon against obesity because of the way it can lower how much visceral fat that you store. Some people choose to take fiber supplements or powder to make sure that they're getting enough fiber.

While that's certainly an option, there is a way that you can do it naturally without having to take anything extra to boost your level. The best way that you can add more fiber to help you shed fat is by making sure you're consuming a diet that's rich in whole foods.

The more natural these foods are, the higher the fiber content will be and the better they'll be for your body. When you first start to add more fiber to your diet, you might notice some uncomfortable side effects.

This is normal and there's a reason that these side effects can happen. It has to do with the way that you add fiber into your diet. You want to gradually increase your fiber rather than going from little fiber to all that you need in a day. Your body won't be used to handling that amount of fiber.

Fiber can cause bloating or a sense of fullness. You may also experience painful gas pains or abdominal cramping after consuming fiber. These will go away as your body adjusts to the healthier way of eating.
