Ginger may not be that delectable as a food but you will definitely be surprised on how much benefits it can give to your body. For those who are already eating it or mixing it with their foods, that is great. For those who are not yet including ginger in their diet, well, today is the right time to do so. Read the health benefits of ginger below and enjoy its wonders for your health. According to wellness coaches, health benefits are numerous. Below are just a few ways ginger is used:

The 6 Health Benefits To Your Body After Eating Ginger Everyday For a Month

1. Fights Cancer Cells

Several studies have showed that ginger has the ability to defeat several types of cancers cells including some of the most aggressive and most difficult ones to treat, including ovarian and colon cancer.

The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center found through their research that ginger can destroy ovarian cancer cells, at a similar or better rate, than the platinum-based chemotherapy drugs typically used to treat ovarian cancer.

2. Stimulates Blood Circulation

Apart from reducing inflammation, ginger could also be used as a damp compress. Placing fifty grams of grated ginger onto a cloth and squeezing out the juice onto four or five liters of water will give you a solution to use to facilitate blood flow. Just continuously apply to the area.

3. Reduces Inflammation

Ginger contains the compound gingerols. Gingerols aid in the mechanism of vasodilation or making your veins and arteries dilate. This causes a healthy blood flow, reducing inflammation due to constricted vessels.

4. Cough, Sore Throat and Stuffy Nose

The countless ginger benefits go on and on. A natural cure for coughs and sore throats is to drink your own fresh ginger tea. Partially slice a few strips of ginger and crush them to help out the active ingredients. Then boil to make a southing tea, adding either lemon slices or honey to add even more healthy nutrients, and also to add some taste.

Instead of adding lemon slices in your tea, try adding some coconut milk. Again not the best of tastes but it does help to break up phlegm and will boost your immune system.

5. Relieves Headache

You can prepare your very own tea against headache. Boil together some ginger, cayenne pepper and some dried peppermint. You can sweeten it to taste and will surely provide results.

6. Improves Digestion and Prevents Flatulence

Boiling ginger in water for a few minutes can calm a rumbling stomach. This tea can be sweetened according to your taste and is recommended to be taken 2-3 times daily.

The 6 Health Benefits To Your Body After Eating Ginger Everyday For a Month

Combing foods is more than a culinary art, it's what we all do on a daily basis. There are many traditional foods that we have always combined, but actually without realizing it this can actually have adverse health effects. Much of what we eat comes from habit, as in what our parents fed us and those favorite dishes that we just latched onto as something we have to have time and time again. Very few people actually put much consideration into the health effects of what they eat. When we eat we are not so much interested in taking care of our bodies as merely getting rid of those hunger pains and exciting the taste buds.

6 Common Food Combinations That Are Actually Terrible For Your Health

Eating should always be an enjoyable and even sociable event, but it should actually give us energy, keep us strong, and move us forward, instead of slowing us down or making us feel bad. Many unpleasant feelings that sneak up on us after eating that nice meal, has to do with the types of foods we are combining.

It's not a bad recommendation for all of us to seek out a nutritionist or two and have them help us make a truly balanced diet. Eating healthy isn't just about eating some lettuce, it's understanding how various food combinations just really don't make sense from a body's needs point of view.

1. Sparing that favorite dressing for the diet version on your favorite salad.

You just can't win for losing. Switching to that diet salad dressing because you think you are being health conscious is actually not a very wise choice at all. Vegetables have many great things for our body, and are an important part of a healthy diet. Unfortunately it's the fat, in that great tasting salad dressing that actually helps the body to absorb and take advantage of all those precious benefits that a vegetable salad gives us. Diet versions of anything have never really been a good solution for weight loss. Eating a balanced and healthy diet and maintaining an active lifestyle including exercise and sport

is what really helps one lose weight and stay fit. Not buying everything with the word diet on it at the local grocery store.

2. Mixing eggs with steak, you know those famous steak and eggs that can satisfy a lumberjack!

It's never a good idea to mix different types of proteins. Best to mix eggs with vegetables, and then eat that hefty steak for dinner. Also eating heavy proteins too early in the day can certainly make you feel groggy at work. Start light and work your way to heavier meals later in the day to evening. We do most of the heavy digesting when we are laying in bed and resting or sleeping. If we force our body to try and work too hard digesting food while we are active, we won't have enough blood to handle all that activity hence the dizzy, lack of energy feeling we can get.

3. Bananas and milk or that banana smoothie

This has been proclaimed by nutritionists to be the absolute worst combination one can force down their body, no matter how delicious it may seem. It actually creates toxins that harm the body, create awful gases, upset stomach and bloating. A nice glass of chocolate milk helps the digestion, so why invite the bananas to the picture? Leave those for the Minions. You know those yellow little creatures that eat 50 pounds of bananas daily...

4. That famous marinara spaghetti sauce with Parmesan and American cheese.

Who would turn down such a great meal as spaghetti especially with some garlic bread to go along and maybe a glass of red wine? Ever noticed after eating those 3 portions of spaghetti you find it difficult to even get up from the table and walk to the living room coach? That's because the tomatoes that make the famous spaghetti sauce are high in acid, and acid based foods mixed with starchy foods as pasta simply don't mix. It makes for a digestion nightmare, no matter how delicious it is, if you don't want to be weighed down by what you eat, best to avoid spaghetti and lasagna with tomato sauce. How about a fresh olive oil sauce with garlic and basil?

5. Bread and Jam, or that peanut butter and jelly sandwich

Oh how we love that peanut butter sandwich with potato chips and a cold glass of milk. Many of us grew up on that one! The problem is, such simple carbohydrates in such a delicious mix cause our blood sugar to go through the ceiling and then the body has to release large amounts of insulin to bring it back down. This expands more energy than we gained from eating that sandwich in the first place. After words it's kind of like a bad hang-over, we lose energy, will and our ability to concentrate. Leave the pbj to our childhood, but now it's time to start eating with the goal of helping us in our day, not slowing us down.

6. The habit of eating fruits after a protein meal as meat, potatoes, pasta dishes and so forth, or after eating a heavy lunch or dinner.

Fruit dishes have always been served as a sweet desert after a nice meal or to clean the palate. Fruit should be eaten without combining with other foods. It's best eaten for breakfast like maybe on top of a nice oatmeal dish, or smothered in yogurt. Fruit has natural sugars, and meats and starches have complicated sugars. By mixing the 2, the sugar from the fruits will become stuck in the stomach, while it's trying to breakdown the heavier sugars, and began a fermentation process, which we all know makes for unpleasant gases and stomach pain.

There are many more food combinations that really aren't the best at all when we are trying to eat healthy. Much of this has to do with breaking our old eating habits, and then spending a little time actually researching what kind of diet would actually work for us. After all we are talking about our health, our energy, and our lifestyle. It certainly would not be a negative activity to try and improve our eating habits to give us a better quality of life. Talking with nutritionists, doing a little research on the internet, asking around and experimenting with different health oriented recipes could turn into a very enjoyable hobby for us, with the results of feeling like we were 20 years old all over again!

So enjoy your meal, but make it something that your body also enjoys!

STEP 2 - Keeping toxins out.

Recipes of success.

The most important factor to good health and fast weight loss is the following:

Breath clean air, drink clean and plenty water, eat wholesome healthy foods especially those containing potassium. By doing this the body will be provided with the correct, life giving nourishment.

Optimum for good health and weight loss.

Water: this is the key to any good health. Drinking at least 8 glasses daily is important. In this modern age we have a very hectic life so the suggested amount will be difficult to follow. Here is a great alternative: you could call a secret 5 cups must be taken first thing in the morning before breakfast. It sounds hard but trust me its not.

Apple cider vinegar: miracle food and cure.

Vinegar is an acid liquid made from fermentation of wine. Apple cider vinegar is high in potassium and therefore ideal in getting rid of toxic materials in the body. Many believe that apple cider vinegar is harmful but only if taken in excess. If apple cider vinegar is taken in moderation it neither weakens memory nor does it dry up the blood as believed by many.

Dr Cyril Scott and Dr Maurice Hansen in their book on the benefits of cider vinegar say that, apple cider vinegar stimulates the digestion and metabolism in the body to ensure best results in weight loss.

Apple cider vinegar is very effective in bringing about weight loss:

Follow the program below:

Mix 3 parts of apple cider vinegar with 1 part almond oil. Massage the body thoroughly. This, according to the diet research center in England, will help reduce excess body fat.

Drink the following thrice a day after each meal: 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar taken in a glass of water. For a period of 2 months.

(The above is the key to quick loss, do not forget to take!)

STEP 3 - Maintaining weight loss

Now that you have achieved NATURAL AND FAST WEIGHT LOSS...

Exercise daily for 20 - 30 minutes. Swimming, jogging or even a brisk walk is highly important.

10 Best Foods for Weight Loss and Fat Burning

As I see more people dieting to lose weight, rather than eating to keep the weight on, here are 10 top weight loss foods that will work to melt the pounds away without barely batting an eyelash.

Avocados

have been shunned by many for their high fat and calorie content. But recent studies are coming out to prove that avocados are actually good for you. Instead of adding weight to your body, they can help you to achieve your weight loss goals.

Avocados are a fruit that grow on an evergreen tree in the warmer regions of the world. They are picked while they are green so that they will not spoil as they are exported around the world for consumption. As they ripen the inside flesh becomes soft, and the green outer shell turns a dark color.

They contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, fiber, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iodine, vitamins A, C, E, K, and many B vitamins as well. But even though they contain a lot of fat, they contain no cholesterol. Thus due to all of these nutrients, they are the perfect fruit for weight loss.

Best Foods for Weight Loss and Fat Burning - Avocados Eggs

Salmon

A fantastic source of omega 3 fats, protein and vitamin D. Healthy fat loss programs recommend eating salmon twice a week, as it reduces triglyceride levels. Any leftover calories that your body does not burn are turned into triglycerides, which are a type of fat. Poach or grill salmon, and serve with a leafy salad or steamed vegetables. Combine tinned salmon with mashed sweet potatoes to make healthy patties - kids also love them.

Broccoli

Broccoli has an abundance of health boosting properties. It contains isothiocyanantes which stimulates the body's production of cancer fighting enzymes. It has as much calcium as a glass of milk and more vitamin C than an orange. In addition, it is one of the richest sources of vitamin A in any fruit or vegetable. The only catch is you do need to eat it raw to benefit from all this goodness. If you cannot handle it raw, then just lightly steam before tossing through a salad or stirring through whole-wheat noodles.

Green Leafy Vegetables

Green Leafy Vegetables

You can have green leafy veggies such as collard greens, spinach and dark green and red leaf lettuce. They have high carotenoids content. You can take them in the form of salads. 10 Ways To Lose 10 Pounds In 10 Weeks Successfully

Here are ten simple strategies that will help you with your aim of losing 10 pounds in 10 weeks!

1. Stop Skipping Meals.

Slashing one meal per day from your meal seems like a logical way to peel off a few pounds. For instance if you stop eating breakfast typically 500 calories), you'll cut 3,500 calories in several days, roughly the amount needed to burn off one bound.

Trouble is, what miss at one meal you often more than make up for at the next. In a recent study found that breakfast eaters consumed a diet lower in fat and having breakfast may reduce the impulse for snacking on high - calories, high off foods.

Obesity specialist Dr. C. Wayne Callaway says skipping any meal can lower metabolism, which normally speeds up to help digest food. Let's say your body at rest burns 1600 calories daily. If you skip breakfast, you use up 80 fewer calories per day. But if you eat breakfast, your sluggish metabolism revs up to burn those 80 calories. After about 15 months you could burn an extra 35,000 calories, the equivalent of ten pounds.

2. Whole grains Are Best For Weight Loss.

Say bye to processed and refined foods!

We also are strong advocates of “Say No” to packaged food since it contains a solid dose of salt and sugar, not to forget a topping of preservatives!

Whole grains, oats, wheat, porridge is your new best friends whom you take everywhere with you!

3. Go Vegetarian Twice a Week.

Dr. Dean Ornish at the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California, made headlines when he found the diet and life - style changes could help reverse atherosclerosis, the formation of fatty build - up on the arterial walls. But Ornish also discovered that the low - fat vegetarian diet he prescribed to help unclog arteries can trim waistlines as well. During the first year of his study, patients lost an average of 22 pounds.

This outcome was unexpected because most of the patients were eating more. Dr. Lee Lipsenthal, an Ornish colleague, explains it this way:"A candy bar and a bunch of fresh broccoli have roughly the same number of calories. After eating the candy bar you probably won't feel full. But you'll feel stuffed if you eat the broccoli."

Luckily, you don't need to become a full-time vegetarian to lost weight. Start by replacing meat in two meals per week. Two meatless meals a week could save you 550 or more calories per week - ten pounds in 16 months.

Fuel your body with real food- not fake food

Good genes also have great importance in their life expectancy, but the main difference between their diet and westerners is theirs is low in fat and calories. The diet of the inhabitants of Okinawa is semi-vegetarian and contains very little fat (less than 25% calories from fat). This diet not only helps you eat healthy but also lose weight and stay lean. The average calorie consumption by Okinawa's people is only 1,100 calories daily, which is almost half of the average calorie consumption of a western diet.

Okinawa Diet - Okinawa Longevity Secret

Reports suggest that, on an average, a typical Okinawan may live for about 110 years of healthy productive life. This is partly because of their genetic makeup. However, recent community research studies on Okinawa population suggest that the most important factor influencing their longevity is the simple food they eat, passed to them through their ancestors for centuries.

Salient features of Okinawa diet:

1. Calorie restricted diet: The diet of the Okinawan people is 20% lower in calories than an average Japanese consume. Their diet consistently averaging no more than one calorie per gram and the average Okinawan has a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 20. It has been widely recognized that the food consumed itself contains more free-radicals than through the external agents like bacteria, viruses, etc. Calorie restriction, therefore, thought to improve health and slow the aging process in some animal models like rodents by limiting their dietary energy intake below daily-average needs.

2. Anti-oxidant rich diet: Okinawa diet composes mainly green/orange/yellow (GOY) vegetables, fruits, roots, and tubers. These foods are rich sources of anti-oxidant vitamins like vitamin-C, vitamin-A, and flavonoid poly-phenolic compounds like ß-carotenes, luteins, xanthins, and minerals like calcium, iron, potassium, and zinc.

3. Low in fat and sugar: The Okinawa diet is low in fat and has only 25% of the sugar and 75% of the grains of the average Japanese dietary intake. Low-fat and limited sugar in the diet can definitely help prevent coronary heart diseases and stroke risk.

4. Vegetarian and seafood rich: The islander's traditional diet includes a relatively small amount of fish and somewhat more in the way of soy, low calorie vegetables like bitter melon, and other legumes. Almost no meat, eggs, or dairy products are consumed. Fish provides omega-3 essential fatty acids like alpha-linolenic acid(ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Soy (in the form of tofu), besides being a very good source of protein, contains health promoting compounds like soluble dietary fiber, antioxidant tannins, and plant-sterols. Altogether, these phyto-nutrients offer protection against heart diseases, stroke, colon, and prostate cancers.

Advocates of Okinawa diet, divide food items into four categories based up on their caloric density, as follows:

The "featherweight" foods: Food groups that provide less than or equal to 0.8 calories per gram belong to this category. Citrus fruits like orange; low calorie vegetables like spinach, cucumber, etc. One can eat freely many servings per day without major concern.

The "lightweight" foods: Food items with a caloric-density from 0.8 to 1.5 calories per gram fall in this category. Certain fruits like banana and vegetables like potato are examples in this category. One should consume these in moderation.

The "middleweight" foods: Food group having a caloric-density from 1.5 to 3.0 calories per gram, such as cereals like wheat, legume products, and lean meat included under this category. It is advised that one should eat only while carefully monitoring portion size.

The "heavyweight" foods: Food items which provide 3 to 9 calories per gram (300 to 900 calories per 100 g) belong in this category. Many oils and fats, nuts, oil seeds and red meat fall in this category, which one should eat only sparingly.

BITTER MELONS

Known as goyain Okinawa, bitter melon is often served with other vegetables in a stir-fried dish called goya champuru, the national dish and cornerstone of the Okinawan diet. Recent studies found bitter melon an “effective anti-diabetic” as powerful as pharmaceuticals in helping to regulate blood sugar.

BROWN RICE

BROWN RICE

In Okinawa, where centenarians eat rice every day, both brown and white rice are enjoyed. Nutritionally, brown rice is superior. SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS

SHIITAKE MUSHROOMS

These smoky-flavored fungi, which grow naturally on dead bark in forests, help flavor Okinawan’s customary miso soup and stir-fries. They contain more than 100 different compounds with immune-protecting properties. Purchased dried, they can be reconstituted by soaking or by cooking in a liquid like a soup or sauce, and most of their nutritional value remains.

TOFU

Doufu

Tofu is to Okinawans what bread is to the French and potatoes are to Eastern Europeans: a daily habit. Okinawans eat about eight times more tofu than Americans do today. Along with other soy products, tofu is renowned for helping to protect the heart. Studies show that people who eat soy products in place of meat have lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which reduce their risk of heart disease.

SEAWEEDS: (KOMBU AND WAKAME)

Okinawa Diet - Wakame

Seaweeds in general provide a filling, low-calorie, nutrient-rich boost to the diet. Kombu and wakame are the most common seaweeds eaten in Okinawa, enhancing many soups and stews. Rich in carotenoids, folate, magnesium, iron, calcium, and iodine, they also possess at least six compounds found only in sea plants that seem to serve as effective antioxidants at the cellular level. Both are sold dried and packaged in the United States.

TURMERIC

Turmeric

Ginger’s golden cousin, turmeric figures prominently in the Okinawan diet as both a spice and a tea. A powerful anticancer, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory agent, turmeric contains several compounds now under study for their antiaging properties, especially the ability to mimic caloric restriction in the body. Its compound curcumin has shown in both clinical and population studies to slow the progression of dementia — which may explain why Okinawans suffer lower rates of Alzheimer’s disease than Americans do.

Dukan Diet Menu - What Can I Eat on the Dukan Diet

Some tooth pains are so severe that taking pain killers can't provide the much-needed relief. Or if you're one of those who can't take strong pain killers, the trip to your dentist would be unbearable. It might be unsafe to drive because the teeth pain can be distracting.

What to Do If You Have Tooth Pain

This post shares some alternatives to pain killers until your dentist can treat your tooth-pain or until you reach a hospital's emergency room. You should consider teeth pain an emergency case if it has been persistent for at least a day, you have fever and you have swollen gums or other signs of infection and other symptoms aside from pain. Tooth pain may also have other causes aside from tooth decay and gum diseases.

Tooth Pain Remedies

Tooth pain can happen anytime. You may not be able to see your dentist at once or pain relievers may not be able to provide the much-needed temporary relief. Here are natural remedies to make the pain bearable especially at night. These are natural remedies are made from items that can be found in most households.

IMPORTANT NOTE: These are just temporary pain remedies that have been recommended by international dental providers. They will NOT help in all cases and are NOT substitutes to treatments prescribed by a dentist. If you are in pain, you should see a dentist immediately.

Salt and Hot Water

  1. Dilute one tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm to hot water.
  2. Gargle or rinse with this salt-water solution 4 to 5 time a day to reduce inflammation. This is the recommended remedy for tooth pain related to gum disease. The solution also temporarily increases the pH or alkalinity of the oral environment which prevents the proliferation of bacteria. Almost all types of bacteria prefer an acidic environment.

Salt and Pepper paste

  1. Mix ¼ teaspoon table salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Add a few drops of water to achieve a paste-like consistency.
  2. Spread the paste on the affected tooth. Leave for several minutes. Salt and pepper paste is an age-old tooth pain remedy. The ingredients have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and analgesic properties to provide to provide fast tooth pain relief.

Guava Leaves

  1. Chew one to two tender leaves until there is enough juice to coat the affected tooth.
  2. You can also boil four to five leaves in water. Add salt; let the solution cool down and use as a mouthwash. Fresh guava leaves have anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and analgesic properties.

Clove Oil

  1. Soak cotton ball in clove oil. Let the affected teeth bite on the cotton ball. If you don't have enough clove oil, put a small amount on a piece of cotton or absorbent material and gently rub on the affected area. This is recommended for pain on tooth with a deep cavity.
  2. If clove oil is not available, grind two pieces of whole cloves. Add a little olive or vegetable oil and use as in no. 1.
  3. You can prepare a clove oil mouth rinse by mixing a few drops of clove oil with ½ glass of water.

Clove oil has anesthetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties to fight infection and tooth pain.
Other oils that can be used in the same manner as clove oil are: sunflower oil, sesame oil, nutmeg oil, oregano oil and tea tree oil.

Ice Cubes

Ice can help reduce tooth pain by numbing or anesthetizing the nerve endings.
  1. Put an ice cube wrapped in thin cotton cloth on your cheek near the affected tooth. Hold for a few minutes.
  2. Here's an acupressure technique to reduce tooth pain: Rub an ice cube between your thumb and index finger for a few minutes. Take note that the hand should be on the same side as your tooth pain.

In acupressure, that location between the thumb and the index finger is called the L14pressure point. L14 pressure point is said to interact with pain from various parts of the body. Rubbing L14 pressure point with ice cubes causes cold signals that intervene with pain signals. So, you don't feel the pain.

Garlic

Mix garlic powder or crushed garlic clove with table salt, then apply directly on the affected tooth. Garlic contains allicin which has antibiotic properties. Allicin reduces tooth pain by reducing bacteria on the area where it's applied.

Onion

Chew raw onion for a few minutes to reduce tooth pain. Or, cut it and place directly on the affected gum or tooth.

Vanilla Extract

Dip a cotton swab into vanilla and apply on the affected area. Repeat several times in a day until the pain is gone or reduced.

Ginger-Cayene paste

Make a ginger-cayene paste by mixing equal amounts of these spices with just enough water to achieve a paste-like consistency. Dip a small piece of cotton into the paste and place on the affected tooth until pain is reduced or gone. Avoid contact with the tongue or gums if you can't stand the heat from the two spices. Ginger or cayenne can be used separately as pastes. Both have analgesic properties.

Aim for Toothache Prevention

Most tooth-pains result from tooth decay and gum diseases. The best and only way to avoid tooth decay and gum diseases is through good oral hygiene practices that basically include the following: seeing a dentist every six months, brushing regularly, using toothpaste with fluoride, flossing daily and antiseptic mouthwash rinsing at least once daily.

The pain is gone. Should you still see your dentist?

Again these are just temporary remedies to alleviate the severe pain before you see your dentist. The pain may be gone but it's still a must to see your dentist as soon as you can because tooth pain is not always due to tooth decay or gum diseases. It is risky to always assume that tooth pain is a manifestation of tooth and gum problems.

Other possible causes of tooth pain are: bruxism or grinding of the teeth, ear or sinus infection or angina, a heart disease. Without proper diagnosis, you're not getting treated for these real causes of your tooth pain. That's why the proper diagnosis by a dentist is very important to get the right treatment for your tooth pain.

What to Do If You Have Tooth Pain

It's 6:30 AM, and oh I need my morning coffee. I drag myself out of my bed and head straight to my kitchen to grab that mug of instant energy to get me going. Then I get busy with my day-to-day schedule with no time whatsoever to work out. We blame our job, our kids and our tired selves for not finding time to stay active. How do we get ourselves out there and move to feel better, and in turn make the lives of people around us better as well (health improves mood and focus)?

How to Get in Shape and Stay in Shape

I hear so many friends of mine complaining about not getting the push to start working out or start the healthy diet regime, to get where they want to be. Sunny beach, bikini? Nope - I'm better off in my cover up! It might seem tough, but if you want to see yourself as someone healthy and happening you can do it as well.

10 Steps to a new you:

1. First have a clear goal in your mind about what you want to achieve, but remember to be practical, knowing that a healthy weight loss, or getting fit does take time. Anything too quick is usually short lived and harmful.

2. Talk to friends who have the same goal, make a chat group to keep in touch and post pictures to inspire and get inspired. Also take some before and after pictures. Post sweaty post-workout selfies for friends who are in that group. Stay motivated make it FUN!

3. Buy some athletic clothes, yes it helps a ton when you have good-looking clothes. You feel like wearing them and go to the gym or head out for a run. A good pair of shoes are key if you want to take running seriously, so do not skip or skimp on that.

4. Start slow and start EARLY! It does help, when we start early our energy level is at the peak and the early morning air always helps us to feel the best. However do not forget to warm up as it takes a while to get our bodies in the active mode early in the day. Starting with small easy walks always helps us to stay motivated without draining us out till the next workout. Build slowly from there. Add strength and more challenging cardio as you get stronger.

5. Music is another important component, create your favorite workout playlist. I have mine which I have saved under the playlist Run, and I keep updating the list to avoid getting bored.

6. Be regular, whatever you do stay on it, make it a routine. It is the key! Sometimes when its difficult to find time, workout for a few minutes; even ten minutes make a difference and keeps you on that track.

7. Eating is another key component, remember - 80 percent nutrition and 20 percent workout. A lot of health coaches use this formula and it is quite true. the first thing is to get rid of is all the junk food from your kitchen pantry. Stay on track, with home cooked tasty food. Don't go crazy right in the beginning on super low calorie food. Keep a food log, this really helps. Foods high in healthy fats are the best way to stay full and avoid binge eating. Who doesn't love to snack on junk specially after a long day when we are really hungry. Eating dense natural foods like nuts, hummus and avocados can help us stay on track. Include a protein in every big meal. Chicken and turkey are great options but lean grass-fed beef is also good. Vegetarian/Vegan options are also available if you stick to foods like nuts, chickpeas, hemp, flax seeds for optimum protein intake.

8. Eating in small portions but more frequently helps us not to binge. the key to lose weight is to EAT and not STARVE! Eat, but eat smart and eat yummy. Use spices and good fats to enhance flavor and taste.

9. There will be times that you lose track specially with vacations or during occasions. Never give up! Know that you can wake up the next morning and start a fresh and some cheat days are absolutely fine and also healthy not to get you frustrated. When on a vacation try to make smart food choice. Choose fresh fruits, salads and more protein. Bananas are another amazing fuel for our body, so keep them handy. If you slip off track in one meal, keep the next lean and healthy. But never get negative and give up.

10. And you need not have access to a gym or a grand outdoor setting - your floor in the living room is perfect! A set of 25 jumping jacks, followed by 20 squats, 30 second planks and 15 push ups can get you rolling. It is all about quality and not quantity! So little goes a long way. The key is to move and be smart in terms of food choices. With these tips you can start your journey to the new 'you' which you have always dreamt of.

Nothing is impossible when you train your brain and learn to have fun and not give up! Happy moving, and remember to say hello to your new self!

Go Natural - Face, Hair, Hand, And Nail Care

A popular quote by Dr. Howard Murad says, "Healthy skin is a reflection of overall wellness". This quote beautifully sums up the need to protect your skin against all odds because it reflects the state of your inner self. So a basic mantra to attain a glowing skin is to stay healthy and happy from inside.

The Right Skin Care for the Right Kind of Skin

The next step is to first understand your skin type and then caress it with the right kind of care. However, we generally don't pay any heed to such details and victimize our skin with chemical loaded beauty care products. Such products damage the skin and make it appear dull and worn out.

According to Ayurveda, there are basically three types of skin- Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Let's try to understand each of these types.

1. Vata Skin Type

The Vata type is characterized by dry, rough, wrinkled, and thin skin with small pores. It is highly sensitive to dry windy weather and can get easily dehydrated. If not treated with care, vata skin can age faster and look dry and flaky always.

Tips for Vata Skin Care

  • Apply products that contain a fusion of essential oils and natural herbs
  • Try to minimize the level of your mental and emotional stress as it pumps out vital juices out of the skin and makes it dehydrated
  • Drink at least 8 glass of water every day and consume juicy fruits in your regular diet
  • Correct the Vata imbalance by taking Vata Churna and Vata Tea

2. Pitta Skin Type

Pitta type is characterized by fair, sensitive, and soft skin. It is vulnerable to freckles and moles and has tolerance to hot and spicy food. In absence of proper care, this skin type can develop rashes, acne, or sunburns.

Tips for Pitta Skin Care

  • Apply products that produce cooling effect on the skin
  • Protect yourself from harsh Sun rays by applying natural Sun protection creams
  • Avoid consuming hot and spicy food and exercising in the hot area
  • Drink plenty of water every day and consume healthy organic food
  • Avoid the application of chemical-based cosmetics

Kapha Skin Type

People with Kapha type have oily, heavy, soft, dull, dense skin with large pores. Compared to other two types, this one is less prone to ageing and wrinkles. This skin type is susceptible to enlarged pores, excessive oil, blackheads, and pimples. If not treated well, it can develop cystic acne.

Tips for Kapha Skin Care

  • Stay away from oily, fried, and heavy foods and switch to green leafy vegetables
  • Detoxify your body with fruits and vegetables and keep your digestive system in order
  • Consume Kapha Churna and Kapha Tea to correct the kapha imbalance in your body
  • Drink plenty of water every day and eat more of fruits and green vegetables

After you have identified your skin type, the next step is to choose the right products. A right kind of skin care with right kind of products leads to healthy and glowing skin. The best way to do this is by opting for natural and herbal products. Market is flooded with natural skin care products but always remember that the word 'natural' is not regulated and the authenticity of its claim needs to be checked every time.

Here are the guidelines that you must keep in mind before buying any skin care product.

  1. Check the list of ingredients mentioned on the product before buying it
  2. Check for 'Natural Ingredient Standard' benchmark on the product
  3. Check that the product does not contain Sulfates Parabens or Petrochemicals
  4. Say 'No' to fragrances, preservatives, and additives and go for mineral based natural make up products

Natural products are enriched with herbs and natural oils. These ingredients are gentle and they do not harm your skin. Here are some of the effective natural herbs that should become a part of your beauty care regime.

Vaginal discharge and urine say a lot about the body especially for a doctor who is looking for a specific infection or other. Pregnancy in the early days is commonly proven through a urine sample, aside from the swollen belly that is, while an STI is usually identified through discharge.

Brown Discharge

Brown will have a doctor direct his or her attention to old endometrial tissues. Simply explained discoloration of this shade is more times down to a late period.

Yellow or White Discharge
